Saqsayhuamán, Cuzco & Pisac

Saqsayhuamán- the name looks a bit scary, doesn't it?
But once you hear someone say it, you might be as I was- HO! THAT place...
and if that doesn't help, maybe some photos will.

MASSIVE pieces of stone, placed perfectly on top of each other. It unbelieveable how exact it is.

The huge stone at the very bottom left- it a big cut off- has 9 corners. It's unclear in this picture but i counted. I am very small at the top- there is a space between two stones.

It's a huge valley- on the one side the great walls on the other this. The rest is a lot of dry grass. And llamas. I am there - it might give an impression of how HUGE is actually is.

Left , the great walls. Right- Cuzco.

                                   Llamas and I.

         CUZCO          More blue scenery .

The Peruvians like to party. I know it as a fact. Every once in a while they have great big parties lasting weeks-  every night gun-shot-like sounds are echoing the Sacred Valley. Streets are closed. People in the most colourful costumes you can imagine roam the streets. Here, just a little gathering took place in one of the plazas.

                                        Streets of Cuzco.

An elderly lady walking next to the ancient Inca walls.

The Incan walls Cuzco is famous for.

Right to the left of the picture above, I found a hidden-from-tourists garden, dominated by children playing football and never-ending walls of Peruvian-made goods.

The last night before the moving to the Sacred Valley.
